Despite Mark's sad passing in December of 2018, his influence continues to resonate. Not only did he contribute significantly to the Fox Theatre, but he also served on boards for the Hutchinson Community Foundation, the Climate and Energy Project, the Reno County Planning and Zoning Board, the Agri-Business Committee of the Hutchinson-Reno County Chamber of Commerce, and the Envista Credit Union Advisory Board. His wisdom, kindness, and generosity have left an indelible mark on the Hutchinson's Historic Fox Theatre and the community at large.

In honor of Mark, we have renamed our Building Preservation Fund the “Mark Richardson Building Preservation Fund”. This fund supports the maintenance and improvement of Hutchinson's Historic Fox Theatre. To this end, Mark’s wife, Susan Richardson, has generously offered a matching grant of $25,000 to the fund. Every donation, up to the $25,000 limit, made over the next year will be matched, dollar for dollar.
